Our story
Hi, my name is Sierra and this is Sierra Sunrise Goods. I grew up baking and as I got older, discovered several food allergies, intolerances, and health conditions that threw me for a loop. I quickly realized safe food often meant not-as-great food and set on a mission to develop recipes that were as good (if not better) versions of the originals. I started selling gluten free and vegan biscochitos in 2020, but in 2021 I had my first child…who was allergic to even more ingredients that I used. Thus, I started the journey to make things as allergen free as possible.
Fast forward to today, I’m a single mom of three special needs kids and the owner of Sierra Sunrise Goods where everything I bake is with care and diligence to give the best quality at the best price—but making it gluten free, vegan, and top 14 allergy friendly. Yes, everything I bake is gluten free, vegan, and top 14 allergy friendly!
Life is too short to not enjoy something sweet, and as I tell my kids: dessert is sweet like the Lord is sweet!
Our Allergy Safe Process
Food allergies, intolerances, and other health conditions like celiac disease, MCAS, and more are on the rise and it’s a difficulty that my family knows all too well. As a baker who strives to make things safe for allergies, I am certified in Food Allergy Safety. We use no ingredients containing gluten, wheat, dairy, egg, nuts, peanuts, soy, lupin, celery, mustard, sesame, fish, shellfish, mollusk, or sulphates. While I bake in a facility that processes these, I am in a dedicated gluten free part of the kitchen, using dedicated allergen free baking equipment, and I use specific cleaning practices to prevent cross contamination as much as possible. The vision is to have an entirely dedicated gluten free/allergen free facility—help us get there by sharing, buying, or donating!
